Examination procedure
There are two possibilities to take an examination:
- directly after the training course at your training course offerer
- at the SAQ office
The execution and evaluation of the examination take place independently of the training provider via the SAQ-Zertifzierungsstelle. The written confirmation of the result wil be sent after 10-15 working days.
Basis for the examination is the international syllabus.
Foundation Level:
- The examination is held as a multiple choice test with a duration of 60 minutes.
- To pass 65% of the maximum points are needed.
- The result can be obtained directly after the exam.
Advanced Level:
- The examination is held as a multiple choice test with a duration of 180 minutes.
- To pass 65% of the maximum points are needed.
- The result will be sent 10-15 working days after the exam.
Prerequisite for examination
It is adviced to take a training course at a certified training course provider. It is possible though to take the examination for the SAQ Certified Software Tester without having to take a training course.
Prerequisite for the admission to an Advanced Level exam is a Foundation Level certificate and at least 18 months of testing experience.
Costs
The examination for the SAQ Certified Software Tester Foundation Level inclusive the certificate after a successfull examination (also repetitions), costs CHF 400.00 (plus VAT).
The examination for the SAQ Certified Software Tester Advanced Level inclusive the certificate after a successfull examination (also repetitions), costs CHF 500.00 (plus VAT).
The reexhibition of a certificate after a loss will costs CHF 100.00.
